It's certainly not just yourself, a few people have suggested various solutions in the comments section of my youtube page – I think a simple tray is the easiest solution though.

See, I am glad it's not just me that finds this a real irritation. Good suggestion on the tray, a nice elegant solution to a commom annoyance.
