Skyless City Jadepunk Campaign Notes

Since my Skyless City Jadepunk campaign has now come to a close I wanted to make all of the notes I made and used within the campaign available to people to have a look at so you can see how I prepare a campaign and in-case there is anything of use for people in there.

Please note: During the game some of my notes were stored on dropbox and some (such as the newletters, etc) were stored on my Google Drive; now the game has finished I have zipped these files and put the zip file on Google Drive, previous links to my Jadepunk files will no longer function.

These notes are in the same state they were when the campaign finished, some were for plotlines never used or developed in a different way in play, but I hope you’ll still find them interesting.

 

Skyless City downtime and bumper issue 10 campaign newsletter

Recently I decided to have a period of downtime for our Skyless City Jadepunk; now the game is still going ahead as normal but we’re moving the timeline forward by three months and are going to detail one of the city districts (the Sengoku or Heaven District) in more detail as a future homebase for the “third season” of our game.

Jadepunk campaign newsletters now available

I’ve always been a huge fan as a GM in creating newsletters and things like that for games, I think it’s a great way of giving your players a wider view of the world and a sense of scope that things are occurring outside their own little bubble, this is great because it gives a campaign that sense of consistency and additional texture that can really help make a world come alive.

I’ve been producing newsletters for our Jadepunk Skyless City games and I’ve now made them available on the same page as the video files.

[Handout-RPG] Jadepunk NPC Journal

In addition to providing a newsletter for my players (as detailed in my last post here) I also wanted to create a sort of NPC journal that would store details on major NPCs that have been encountered and that would act as an aide memoir for both my players and myself; i’ve created a rough draft PDF document that i’ve uploaded to the game’s facebook group, there are only a couple of NPCs in it at the moment since we’ve only just done our first session, but it will grow as the game goes on.
